Menopause Testing and Diagnostics
Testing is the foundation of care at Arcara Access. We use detailed diagnostics to uncover what’s really going on in your body and design a custom treatment plan that fits your needs with precision and purpose.
Diagnostic Process
If you’ve been told your symptoms are “just aging” or been given generic advice that hasn’t helped, thorough testing may be key to uncovering what’s actually going on in your body.
Every client at Arcara Access starts with a structured evaluation. Diagnostics aren’t optional; they’re the foundation of how we personalize your care. We use in-depth questionnaires, comprehensive labs, and thoughtful follow-ups to create your personalized care plan.
Initial Assessment
We begin with a detailed health intake process:
- A full questionnaire covering your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and personal goals
- A one-on-one consultation, either in person or virtual, to review any possible concerns
- Early insights into which systems need support (hormones, digestion, metabolism)
If you’re ready to begin, please complete your new client application before your first consultation.
Lab Testing
We partner with Quest Diagnostics, a trusted national provider, to ensure accurate results and easy access. Testing happens at the start of your care and is repeated every 6 to 9 months to track progress and fine-tune your plan. This is especially important for those undergoing hormone therapy.
Testing Process
Our process is simple and guided every step of the way. Your results are personally interpreted by our board-certified nurse practitioner, ensuring your care is both accurate and individualized.
All testing is conducted through blood draws at your local Quest Diagnostics center.
Results are reviewed in follow-up visits, including a one-hour session for hormone therapy clients.
Key Tests Offered
Our diagnostic tools help us build a complete picture of your health. Here are the most common labs we use:
- Comprehensive Hormone Panels: Evaluates imbalances linked to menopause, mood, or energy.
- Inflammation and Gut Health: Identifies triggers for bloating, fatigue, or autoimmune issues.
- Food Sensitivity Testing: This is an optional add-on for those with suspected intolerances.
Peptide Therapy Eligibility: Labs may include metabolic markers if peptides are being considered.
Additional bloodwork may assess:
- Hormones: Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid
- Inflammation: C-reactive protein (CRP) and others
- Metabolism: Glucose, insulin, and lipids
- Nutrient Levels: Vitamin D, B12, iron
Exclusions and Eligibility
Most women are eligible for testing, but there are a few exceptions. Clients with severe kidney or liver disease or who are undergoing cancer treatment may need medical clearance. We do not currently offer genetic testing or heavy metal panels unless clinically necessary.
What Our Clients Say
“Working with Arcara Access has been such a great experience. Their personalized, holistic approach to perimenopause/menopause really made a difference for me. I finally feel like I have my energy and balance back, and it’s all thanks to the support and care they provide.
They really take the time to listen and understand what you’re going through. It’s not one-size-fits-all—it actually feels tailored to me. I feel better, sleep better, and just feel more like myself again. Highly recommend!
Amanda Barry
“Arcara Access has been wonderful in tailoring a custom holistic approach in my wellness journey covering all bases with nutrition, supplements and hormone balance. In contrast to the big telehealth woman’s wellness companies, Kim takes the time to listen to the patient, their symptoms and doesn’t go by a ‘one size fits all’ approach. I noticed improvements in my symptoms and energy levels immediately and my Oura ring reported better sleep and lower body temp fluctuations in the first two nights following the start of my new program. I saw real measurable results! Highly recommend this provider and practice.
